Men and Boys Retreat 2023. Attention all men and boys of Indiana. You are invited to a great weekend of camping and fishing. For only $25 we are going to set up our tents and have a great meal and service on Friday night. Saturday morning wake up to breakfast and devotions. We are going to have a fishing contest at the Shelburn’s stocked lake. Bring your fishing gear and favorite bait. We will have other games and activities. We finish the day with lunch and awarding the winners. Come out for this great event. Weekly Announcements 9/24/2023
Indiana Church of God Men & Boys Campout – Sept 29 & 30 at Shelburn Church of God. Men and Boys Retreat 2023. You are invited to a great weekend of camping and fishing, only $25. Friday we will set up our tents., have a great meal, and service. Saturday morning wake up to breakfast and devotions. We are going to have a fishing contest at Shelburn’s stocked lake. Bring your fishing gear and favorite bait. We will have other games and activities. We finish the day with lunch and awarding the winners. Poster is on the Gather Board
“Daughters of the King” IN Girls Day Out – October 7th @ 10:00 am– At Freedom Church in Noblesville. Sessions for ages 6-18. There is a poster on the Gather Wall for more information.
Indiana Senior Adult Day, October 21 – Right here at the River. A full day of fun, fellowship, and faith with others form around the stated. The cost to register is only $15. There are registration forms at the Info Center. There will also be talent opportunities. See registration form.
IGNITE Youth – The teens meet on Sunday evenings from 5:00-6:30 pm. They begin with food, then fun, and then a time in worship and a relevant message. Parents, thanks for our prayers, support, and effort in getting your kids here on Sunday nights.
Monday Evening Prayer – Our next Prayer Night will be September 11th. Everyone is encouraged to join us. We have prayer on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at the church at 6:30 pm. I’m asking everyone that can, to join us for our hour of prayer for our church family.
Trial of Treats, Sunday, October 29th @ 5:00 pm – We’re going to set up a trail of treats in our sanctuary and invite our kids, neighbor kids and the community. We need several volunteers to dress up and decorate a table and hand out dandy as the kids walk through. We’re also asking for anyone that can to begin bringing small wrapped candy to be given out tot he kids. There will be a sign-up sheet at the Info Counter for those who will decorate a table and hand out candy.
Food Pantry – Our food pantry is open to our church family all the time and to the public the first Monday of each month. We’re in need of people to assist in preparing and/or helping distribute food boxes. If you have a need or know someone who might, please see Dave or Aileen Ellington or Pastor Jeff. Thank you for our prayers and support.

Weekly Announcements – 8/27/2023
All Church Picnic – August 27th – Hawaiian Themed – Rain or shine. Invite your family and friends to join us for church and then stay for the picnic. Hamburgers, hotdogs, and buns provided. There is a sign-up sheet at the Info Counter for other food.
Indiana State Men’s Conf. “Stand Your Ground” – September 16th – here at The River. We will have an awesome day with 2 guest speakers, worship, and a lot of fun. Registration begins at 9:00 and the conference begins at 10:00. Cost is $40 and that includes lunch. There is a poster with m ore info on the Gather Wall.
Ladies’ Bonfire – September 16th @ 6:00 – Ladies are welcome to join us for a bonfire. Please see Sis. Lesa or Marie Jensen for more information. Sign-up at the Info Counter.

Discipleship 101 – August 23rd (for 12 weeks) – Our Discipleship course led by Rev. Dirk Shaw and Nellie Foster will be taught on Wednesdays at 6:30. Tis is something we encourage everyone in the church to go through There will be a class for the kids. There is a sign-up sheet at the Info Counter. See Dirk or Nellie for more information.
Indiana State Golf Scramble – Saturday, August 26th – Proceeds will go toward our Stated Youth program. We will play at Wildcat Creek in Kokomo at 1:00 pm. The cost is $60 per golfer.
