Live for the Redeemer, Ride - River Riders Motorcycle MinistryTogether

A Band of All Brands!

In the heart of the Lord, there is no difference in who HE loves. Red, Black, Yellow, Tan or White…God loves us all! He plays no favorites. Contrary to a commonly shared belief, God doesn’t even ride one manufacturer’s bike over another. As a matter of fact, God doesn’t EVEN ride a motorcycle! (According to Scripture, God rides on the clouds.) BUT, He DOES ride with the Motorcyclist. How? On the back seat? No. In a side-car? No, but He travels with us still the same.
One way that He travels with us is that He travels IN us…in the heart of the believer. The same faith that allows Him to be our Savior is the same faith that trusts Him to be our guide. The Good News is that whether you are saved or unsaved, God the Father is present to show forth His Love, Grace and Mercy to all. (Grace is getting what we don’t deserve and Mercy is missing what we do deserve). Listen to what the Psalm writer (maybe ‘Rider’) says about God: [Psalm 139:1-14] ((Read it like a biker wrote it))

God, investigate my life; get all the facts firsthand.
I'm an open book to you; even from a distance, you know what I'm thinking.
You know when I leave and when I get back; I'm never out of your sight.
You know everything I'm going to say before I start the first sentence.
I look behind me and You're there, then up ahead and You're there, too—your reassuring presence, coming and going.
This is too much, too wonderful— I can't take it all in!

Is there anyplace I can go to avoid your Spirit? to be out of your sight?   If I climb to the sky, you're there!

If I go underground, you're there!
* (Another version says: “if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.)
If I flew on morning's wings  to the far western horizon,
You'd find me in a minute— you're already there waiting

Then I said to myself, "Oh, he even sees me in the dark!
At night I'm immersed in the light!" It's a fact: darkness isn't dark to you; night  and day, darkness and light, they're all the same to you.

Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; You formed me in my mother's womb.  I thank you, High God—you're breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something**.

[the Message Bible]

**(You are really ‘Something’ no matter what someone else told you or thinks of you)

Did you notice that God rides with everyone and He doesn’t ride with ‘nobodies’? As a matter of fact, He not only ride with us but He goes before us and watches over us and guards us from behind. It is a great feeling to know that God says “yes” when we pray and ask Him to bless our ride.

At the River, we are fellow riders who enjoy spending time on the road traveling with each other.  We like taking what we call “Coffee Cruises”hook up, ride, get coffee, and ride home! I know…it’s pretty complicated. We also like to travel a bit. One year we took a road trip to Somerset, Kentucky. One spring, we took a one-day 500 mile run to the St. Louis Arch and back; and we took a one day jaunt down to Madison, Indiana and caught up with an old friend of Pastor Quigley’s.  It was cool! (check out the pictures). We would like to head down to Tennessee in the fall, we’ll see!

Here’s the deal...if you have two-wheels (or three with a trike) and you would like to go riding, you are welcome to come anytime that we have a known upcoming ride on schedule. But you have to let us know that you want to go…Send us your email and/or phone number and we will get a hold of you and hook up for a run. Send us a picture of your bike and we will put it up on this site. God is good and aren’t you glad He gives us roads to cruise? Ride Safe and keep the rubber side down! We have fun in the SON and on the Run!
